Nutrition & Healthy Eating
Evidence-Based Nutrition Advice That Fits Your Life
Healthy eating isn’t about following the latest diet, cutting out every food you enjoy, or constantly worrying about calories.
It’s about giving your body the nutrients it needs to support your health, energy and wellbeing.
At Naturally with Leah, I believe nutrition should be practical, enjoyable and sustainable. My goal isn’t to put you on another restrictive diet—it’s to help you build healthy eating habits that work for your lifestyle and support your long-term health.
Whether you’re living with a chronic health condition, experiencing digestive symptoms, navigating menopause, managing an autoimmune disease or simply wanting to eat better, I’ll help you develop an individualised nutrition plan that’s realistic and achievable.
Food should nourish your body—not become another source of stress.

My Philosophy on Nutrition
Nutrition isn’t about perfection.
It’s about consistently making choices that nourish your body while still enjoying food and living your life.
Unfortunately, social media is filled with confusing messages telling people to eliminate entire food groups, buy expensive supplements or follow restrictive diets that simply aren’t sustainable.
My philosophy is different.
I don’t believe healthy eating should leave you feeling guilty, deprived or anxious.
Instead, I focus on helping you understand what your body needs and making realistic changes you can maintain long-term.
Small improvements made consistently are far more powerful than the “perfect” diet that lasts only a few weeks.
Nutrition Is About More Than Weight
One of the biggest misconceptions about seeing a nutritionist is that it’s only about losing weight.
While maintaining a healthy weight can be important for some people, my consultations are not focused on putting everyone on a weight-loss program.
Instead, I focus on helping you nourish your body to support your overall health.
Good nutrition may play an important role in supporting:
- Energy levels
- Digestive health
- Immune function
- Hormone balance
- Thyroid health
- Heart health
- Healthy ageing
- Bone health
- Muscle health
- Blood sugar regulation
- Mental wellbeing
- Recovery from illness
If weight management is one of your goals, we’ll approach it realistically and compassionately, focusing on building sustainable eating habits rather than restrictive diets or quick fixes.
My aim is to help you feel healthier—not simply lighter.
My Approach to Nutrition
Every person has different goals, preferences and health needs.
During your consultation, we’ll discuss:
- Your current eating habits
- Medical history

- Health goals
From there, we’ll develop a practical nutrition plan that fits into your everyday life.

My Personal Approach
Food has always fascinated me—not because I believe there’s one perfect way to eat, but because I’ve experienced first-hand how nutrition can influence health.
Living with coeliac disease, Graves’ disease and other autoimmune conditions has taught me that nutrition isn’t simply about calories or weight.
It’s about supporting your body with the nutrients it needs while still enjoying food and living a balanced life.
I understand the challenges of navigating dietary changes, sorting through conflicting advice and trying to find an approach that’s both practical and sustainable.
That’s why my recommendations are always individualised.
I don’t expect perfection.
I believe healthy eating should fit around your life—not the other way around.
