With temperatures hitting record highs today I thought it was a good time to share a simple homemade lemonade that is an electrolyte. Add orange or lemon.
Suitable for adults and children.
As a nutritionist and naturopath, I often see patients who are struggling to drink enough water or for one reason or another are dehydrated. This easy homemade electrolyte drink made with either lemons or oranges can be a great solution.
Homemade Electrolyte Drink
- 1 large jug
- 1 litre Filtered water
- 1/2 teaspoon Sea salt
- 1 teaspoon Rapadura sugar Unrefined crystallised sugar
- 1/2 Juice of 1/2 Lemon or Orange
- Mix all the ingredients together
- Add a sprig of mint
- Sip all-day
