Smoothies are not my go-to or something that I often recommend to my patients.
However, that being said. Grabbing a smoothie as you run out the door for work or school is way better than not having breakfast.
Below are a variety of smoothies that are high in protein, some have fruit sugar and others are vegetable heavy. Let me know what ones you like.
Spinach, peanut butter and banana smoothie
- 1 Cup Kefir or your favourite milk
- 1 Tbsp Peanut butter
- 1 Cup Spinach
- 1 small Banana Even better if it's been frozen
- 1 Tbsp Honey Optional
- Blend until smooth, enjoy
